Quizzes are a great way to track your students learning. It will not tell you much about depth of learning, but you will certainly be able to keep track of their understanding of a topic. Use it during a lesson to check for understanding or at the beginning of a lesson to check if they came prepared and ensure that flipped techniques will work. I have been using quizizz as it allows students to have the questions on their own devices and to make a quiz from a spreadsheet. Doing from spreadsheets is much easier for typing the questions, specially when you have repeated answer alternatives in low stake quizzes. It also allow you to ask your students to come up with questions for the quiz, that you collect with a google form and then... it is as simple as a copy and paste.
